Julie Afsahi

Julie is a mother, yoga and meditation teacher, entrepreneur, and passionate yoga practitioner. Yoga has been Julie’s life support and allowed her to regain mobility after years of dealing with a rare neuromuscular disease. Julie is a big believer in sharing the practice of yoga and meditation to all and has rich insight when it comes to adaptive yoga.

Prior to opening Soul Strong Yoga, Julie was a teacher and instructional designer, designing online trainings for tens of thousands of educators. Julie leads a business mentorship program for yoga teachers and entrepreneurs and is a 500-hour yoga teacher and certified meditation and mindfulness teacher.

Sepi Jafari

Sepi is a 500-hour registered yoga teacher, teacher trainer, massage therapist, entrepreneur, and dog mom.

She owns Soul Strong Yoga with her dear friend Julie. Sepi is passionate about holding space for all types of yogis, and she applies her deep knowledge of anatomy and massage therapy in her trainings and classes. 

Sepi is known locally for her incredible Restorative classes and the Moon Magic Gong and Flow events. Sepi also has extensive training in Yin Yoga. You can find Sepi sharing healing vibrations through playing the crystal singing bowls and gong.

Clara Hayes

Clara is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, and has completed additional training in Adaptive and Chair Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. She has been a part of Soul Strong’s yoga teacher training team from the very beginning, writing curriculum materials with Julie and teaching lectures both in-person and online. 

Clara is a full-time graduate student studying a Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. She hopes to incorporate mindfulness into her future therapy practice, and is currently studying Emotionally Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

How do you teach anatomy? How does it differ from other trainings?

For the anatomy component of your training, we partner with world-renowned Yoga Educators & bestselling authors of Yoga Anatomy, Leslie Kaminoff & Amy Matthews. It is the most comprehensive, useful anatomy training available to teacher training programs today.

What supplies will I need to purchase?

The only text we require is The Path of the Yoga Sutras by Nicholai Bachman. The paperback costs approximately $15, and there is a Kindle version, too. Otherwise, it’s good to own a yoga mat, any yoga props you like to use, a device to access the content, and a journal.

What are the graduation requirements?

We have 10 required assignments to graduate in addition to viewing all of our interactive lessons: 6 anatomy quizzes, observation log of 10 yoga classes, 45-minute final project video, and 2 fun get-to-know-you assignments. We are with you every single step of the way! If video recording the final project doesn’t work for you, we will set up a Zoom call to watch your demo live.

I’ve tried doing an online 200-Hour YTT before and never finished it. What makes Soul Strong Yoga different?

We will support you to the finish line. Our interactive lessons are professionally designed and provide you with high quality lessons that build on each other over time. You have one year to complete the required components of the program. You will have lifelong access to all of the program content. The program is self-paced, and you may complete it in as little as a couple of months or take up to the full year.
