Julie Afsahi

Julie is a mother, yoga and meditation teacher, entrepreneur, and passionate yoga practitioner. Yoga has been Julie’s life support and allowed her to regain mobility after years of dealing with a rare neuromuscular disease. Julie is a big believer in sharing the practice of yoga and meditation to all and has rich insight when it comes to adaptive yoga.

Prior to opening Soul Strong Yoga, Julie was a teacher and instructional designer, designing online trainings for tens of thousands of educators. Julie leads mindfulness and yoga certification programs. She is a E-RYT 500 yoga teacher and certified meditation and mindfulness teacher.

Clara Hayes

Clara is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, and has completed additional training in Adaptive and Chair Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. She has been a part of Soul Strong’s yoga teacher training team from the very beginning, writing curriculum materials with Julie and teaching lectures both in-person and online. 

Clara is a full-time graduate student studying a Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. She hopes to incorporate mindfulness into her future therapy practice, and is currently studying Emotionally Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
